With Christmas just around the corner, Bigrock can reflect back on a very busy and successful year.
2018 has seen us design and deliver bespoke learning programmes for a wide range of clients, inspiring leaders, managers and team members at every stage of their career, to achieve greater success. We also launched our new digital learning platform Coachical, whilst expanding our pool of expert coaches and consultants.
In short, we’ve met some great people and had a fantastic 2018. We have much to be thankful for.
This year, though, as well as enjoying our Christmas celebrations, we wanted to take the opportunity to give back to the wider community.
So instead of our annual office Secret Santa, this year we chose to donate to our local foodbanks, Bicester Foodbank and The MK Food Bank.
The Bigrock team donated a wide range of non-perishable foods and toiletries.
We are proud to have donated 6 boxes of food to help our local communities.
Bicester Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust, a network of 428 foodbanks, which works to tackle food poverty in local communities across the UK. The Trussell Trust helps communities work together to launch local foodbanks. In 2017/2018, the network provided over 1.3 million three-day emergency food supplies and support to UK people in crisis.
Both the Bicester and Milton Keynes food banks rely on donations of food and money from the local community. Donations are combined into food parcels that can be picked up by families and individuals with a voucher. One of the real benefits of food banks is they not only provide people in crisis with the food they need in the short term, but also point vulnerable people to other services that can help them get back on track in the long term.

A big thank you goes out to Kathryn Baxter, Bigrock Content Designer, who in a busy design period also found time to organise the food bank collection and deliver our donations to Bicester and Milton Keynes.
